 US Dollar Rises Against Majors from Lows




In the New York session on Friday, the U.S. dollar recovered its losses versus its significant trading partners.


From its early 4-day lows of 148.52 versus the yen, 0.9091 against the franc, and 1.0617 against the euro, respectively, the dollar strengthened to 149.39 against each of those currencies.


The dollar recovered from early 9-day lows of 0.6501 and 0.6048, respectively, to reach 0.6446 against the aussie and 0.6002 against the kiwi.


After hitting an early 1-week low of 1.2271 against the pound, the dollar increased to 1.2180.


After hitting an early 9-day low of 1.3416 against the loonie, the dollar strengthened to a 2-day high of 1.3536.


The resistance level at 153.00 against the yen, 0.94, may be tested by the currency.
