The Swiss KOF Leading Indicator Reaches 95.9, Down Slightly.

According to a poll conducted by the KOF Swiss Economic Institute, a gauge indicating potential economic turning points in Switzerland slightly fell in September to its lowest level in four months.

From 96.2 in August to 95.9 in September, the economic barometer decreased. The index was expected to decline to 90.5 by economists.

According to the KOF, a number of indicators from the manufacturing and other services sectors are principally responsible for the minor dip.

On the other hand, the financial and insurance industries as well as the building industry are showing signs of good momentum.

The manufacturing sector's muted negative tendencies are primarily the consequence of data from the paper and printing industry, the metals industry, and then the manufacturing sector.
